We have already replaced the Arcadia sliding doors in multiple units of this building — same product, same anodized Dark Bronze finish, same building requirements. Build your estimate in under a minute.
Tap every room with a sliding door to replace. You can adjust each one on the next steps.
Give us the openings if you know them and we will bring the right glass to the measure. Windows are quoted after that visit — they are not in the total above.
A head receptor ties the units together with no wall between them — three single sliders in one run is how the living rooms in this building are normally built.
Every door is glazed to the building standard: 1″ tempered insulated glass, bronze tinted as the association requires so every unit reads the same from the street, with a Guardian 62/27 low-E coating — the package that carries published performance figures: U 0.38 · SHGC 0.22 · 49% visible light.
A laminated interlayer damps the glass and measurably cuts traffic noise from Lake Shore Drive. The tested figures are in the .
A full-height screen on the operating panel, in Invisiview mesh — a finer, darker weave that you see through far better than a standard screen. Already in the price; nothing to add.

Your estimate is on its way to our estimator. You will hear from us within 1 business day with the confirmed number and next steps: field measurement, shop drawings, and the building paperwork — all handled by us.
Answers come straight from this building's own completed jobs and the manufacturer's test data. Anything we cannot answer here goes to an estimator with your request.
What the codes and the building ask for, and what we are proposing. This page is informational — the binding version is the written estimate and the permit set our own drafters prepare.
Cook County is climate zone 5A. Sound carries no code requirement at all in a residence — it is here because it is the question people actually ask.

A laboratory test of this door — ASTM E90, Architectural Testing, Inc., report C3515.01-113-11, on an Arcadia ULT 5000 T/B sliding glass door carrying the same 4¾″ thermally broken aluminum frame we quote. Two glazings were tested: the 1″ insulating unit that is our standard (3/16″ tempered, 5/8″ air, 3/16″ tempered) at STC 33 / OITC 26, and one with a laminated inner lite at STC 37 / OITC 31.
E90 rates the whole assembly — frame and glass together, installed in a test opening. That matters when comparing quotes: a glass-only figure says nothing about what comes through the frame, and the two are not interchangeable. The laboratory's own wording travels with the numbers rather than being paraphrased: the report relates only to the specimen tested and is not a certification of the product. We will send it to you in full on request.
Arcadia's other low-E for these doors carries no NFRC number at all — it is reported as “Not Rated” on every one of the thirteen units in this building ordered with it. It is a perfectly good unit, and for a like-for-like replacement reviewed as an alteration it is normally accepted. But it leaves the thermal questions — from your board, from a City reviewer, from a rebate program — unanswerable. So the price on this page is the rated package as standard. Our own order for unit 30BS in this building was built with it. We will not quote you a number we cannot document.
Glass in a door is a hazardous location under the building code, so it must be tempered or laminated and must carry a permanent manufacturer mark. Every panel we supply is tempered and permanently marked — on all sixteen units we have ordered for this building, without exception. Acoustic laminated glass, if you add it, satisfies the same requirement by a different route.
Every instant estimate is reviewed by an estimator within one business day, and final sizes come from a physical field measurement — never from a number typed on a web page. Anything above that turns out to differ for your unit is raised with you in writing before it is ordered.
